TDF Diagnostic Services

Understand the system before prescribing the fix.

Human-led application of the Team Diagnostic Framework for organisations that want a structured, evidence-based understanding of delivery behaviour before deciding what to change.

Three ways to work with TDF.

Each service is designed around the same principle: the delivery system is the unit of improvement, not the individual.

01 / LIGHTWEIGHT DIAGNOSTIC

Clarity before commitment.

A focused evidence-based view for a team or leadership group that knows something is not working but needs to understand where further investigation is warranted.

02 / DEEP DIAGNOSTIC

Explain the delivery system.

A deeper investigation across related flow, predictability, quality, work-mix, constraint, trend, and evidence signals.

03 / DELIVERY ADVISORY

Sense-making for leaders.

Ongoing interpretation, decision support, and follow-through for leaders who need to understand how the delivery system is changing over time.

01 / Lightweight Team Diagnostic

Clarity before commitment.

Best for a team or leadership group with a delivery concern that needs a structured evidence-based view before deciding what to change.

What we examine

Available workflow history, lead and cycle-time behaviour, throughput and variability, waiting and constraint patterns, quality pressure, work mix, and the confidence of the available evidence.

What you receive

A concise diagnostic summary, the strongest supported findings, evidence limitations, priority investigation areas, and recommended next questions or experiments.

What it deliberately does not do

Individual performance scoring, maturity grading, or a pre-written Agile transformation plan.

02 / Deep Team Diagnostic

Explain the delivery system.

Best for recurring predictability, flow, quality, or delivery-confidence concerns that need deeper investigation across related signals.

What we examine

Flow, predictability, quality, value/work mix, workflow constraints, trends, measurement coverage, evidence quality, and the interactions between those signals.

What you receive

A deeper system-level diagnosis, evidence and measurement context, likely constraint patterns, investigation hypotheses, and a prioritised set of improvement opportunities or experiments.

What it deliberately does not do

Treat correlation as causation, compare people or teams as a league table, or prescribe one universal operating model.

03 / Delivery Advisory

Sense-making for delivery leaders.

Best for Delivery, Product, Engineering, and Technology leaders who need ongoing support interpreting delivery evidence and deciding where management attention will create the most value.

What we examine

Current delivery signals, trend movement, changing constraints, quality and predictability risk, evidence confidence, and the outcomes of improvement experiments.

What you receive

Recurring diagnostic review, decision support, investigation guidance, and follow-through on agreed improvement experiments.

What it deliberately does not do

Replace accountable leadership decisions or turn metrics into performance targets.

No individual performance scoring. No forced framework adoption. No generic transformation roadmap.

The aim is to understand the delivery system well enough to decide what is worth investigating next.
